Kill or Force Quit a Mac OS X Application

Access the Apple Menu icon and click Force Quit

or

Press Command and Option and ESC simultaneously

HTC Nexus One No Power, Would not Turn On

1) Insert Battery and Plug-in Power
2) wait for the Charging Light on,
3) while power is still plugged in, pull the battery
4) and then re-insert the battery back

To continue using the phone while power is broken, just install a sensor app e.g. Smart Screen ON, for turning off/on screen by waving hand.
