Rotate and Convert/Save Video using VLC

Open VLC
Open Tools menu
Select Effects and Filters
Click Video Effects Tab
Click Transform
Choose Rotation e.g. rotate by 90 degrees if video was mistakenly taken from a camera taken on its side.
Click Close.. Video will close.
Click Media
Click Convert/Save..
Click Add from the File Selection field
Click Convert/Save and new Dialog window will appear
Click Browse for the Destination File .. choose appropriate Profile
Click Start button to start conversion.

I am trying to save a mirrored video and this doesn't work using these instructions as far as I can tell - the saved file is not mirrored (flipped horizontally. Id really appreciate some help - it seems to me such an obvious thing to want to do and yet I cant find a way to do it.

After rotating the video...u will get the recording option too in vlc..
So just Rotate and start recording the same video..it will get save in my documents --> My videos.
